A Night in the Lonesome October - Gahan Wilson, James Warhola, Roger Zelazny
I picked this book up through bookswapping because I've always been a big fan of the Amber series of books but had never really read anything else by Zelazny. I'm just glad I didn't read this one first...

The story in A Night in the Lonesome October is told from the perspective of Snuff, a dog who (along with his master, a magician) patrols the streets of Soho looking to defeat evil. It's almost Halloween and something is afoot with which Snuff and the other familiars of the various humans, and more-than-humans, in the story are more than a little involved.

Unfortunately, I just couldn't get into the story and figure out exactly what it was that was going on, which meant I got about halfway through and just couldn't summon up the enthusiasm to continue.
